Aine Cahill is a 21 year old singer / songwriter from Cavan .

Her love of the torch singers and jazz chanteuses of the 40’s and 50’s lured her into the world of music.

Completing a music course run by Cavan arts office Áine decided to put her craft to the test and write a song or two, the result was the now ‘cult’ status song  ‘White Piano’ which was featured on the EP ‘Paper Crown’  .which also featured  ‘The Pictures’ .

And now with 20+ songs under her belt she decided to road test them , but before she did that she released ‘Black Dahlia’ which is now one of the most talked and played songs on national radio in Ireland at the moment, it’s the haunting tale of Elisabeth Short who was eerily murdered in Hollywood and became known as, The Black Dahlia , but Áine makes it sound like loves lost dream.

She has been guest of Duke Special , The Henry Girls and Brendan McCahey on various gigs around the country.

She was featured recently on Ian Dempsey’s Breakfast show on Today FM  and sang Black Dahlia live and clocked up an incredible 70.000 views on the Today FM Facebook page in just 48 hours.

Now with the four piece band ‘Spam Turner’ behind her ,  shes ready to rock and soul the night away , where her songs will have you Boogieing one minute and breaking your heart the next.

Truly a talent to be seen and heard , shes been compared to Adele , Amy Winehouse and Lana Del Ray but these comparisons fall when you realise she is in fact the only Áine Cahill .

She played 3 gigs at this years Electric Picnic the highlight being The Jerry Fish Sideshow stage where they packed out the tent.
