Bringing the pulse of great blues music through the ages to The Crane Lane, The Blues Momentum are forging ahead with their dynamic, authentic sound.

The Band combines decades of experience playing the blues on the boards with an approach that guarantees an exciting, spontaneous edge to any set they perform. From the laidback intimacy of smouldering slow Blues to the driving tempos of Blues Shuffles and the swinging syncopations of R&B roots. Their mission has a simple clarity of purpose- “Send ‘em home sweating!”

The Blues Momentum employs the classic 4-piece line-up of vocals and guitar, harmonica, bass and drums.

Eoghan Regan (vocals, guitar) His interest in the blues was sparked at the age of 10, when he got his hands on a live Rory Gallagher recording.A few years of incessant practice and late nights listening to vinyl treasures of the Blues greats from the local music library saw him hit the boards at the age of 15. There’s been no looking back since. He’s been belting out the Blues in all of its forms with various line-ups nationally and internationally. His qualities as a musician have seen him work as a recording artist with many international performers on the world stage.

Andrea Bonino (Harmonica) The elder don of the group hails from Pisa, Italy and began playing Blues over 30 years ago, during which time he gained such a knowledge of the music that he is nothing less than an oracle on the Blues. He formalised this recently with a degree in Music and a Masters in Music Composition from University College Cork. His passionate harmonica playing brings the mustard to the plate.

David Duffy (Bass) One of the most sought after Bass players in the country, he cut his teeth with the rhythms of Jazz on Upright and Electric Bass before turning his attention to the music that provided the foundation for so many other musical styles- The Blues. A Masters in Music Composition is only one of the arrows in his quiver of experience.

Thomas Gall (Drums) Studying music in his native Slovakia, Thomas initially went as far as achieving teacher qualification in piano before he realised he like to hit bigger things harder- much harder. He has been behind the drum kit ever since, propelling many projects forward with his inimitable, irrepressible and unstoppable energy. You’ll find no other engine like this one.
