Live Lizzy are a 5 piece Thin Lizzy tribute band from Cork. The band features Paul Cronin on Lead Vocals, Hughie Donovan on Lead Guitar, Alan Creedon on Lead Guitar, Bob Kavanagh on Bass and Gavin Blackshields on Drums. All members are regular players on the Cork Rock and Blues circuit, supporting the likes of Thin Lizzy’s Brian Robertson and Blues/Rock Guitarist Pat MacManus, and have many years experience between them.
Formed originally in 2012 for a benefit concert, there was such a positive reaction to the band, they decided to book more gigs and play the Munster area, building up a steady following.
The band’s repertoire is based mainly on the classic Live & Dangerous era line up and features all the well known rockers Jailbreak, Boys Are Back, Suicide, Don’t Believe A Word and Emerald as well as other hits such as Waiting For An Alibi, Chinatown, Killer On The Loose, Bad Reputation and finishing up with a blistering version of Black Rose. 2 hours of classic rock guaranteed to rock the house!
