‘Born into a space between the notes of Fleetwood Mac and the words of Sylvia Plath’.

Running Red Lights is an earnest group of four with an inherent energy that moves from physical to spiritual and from the immediate present to the transcendental past. Migrating from small towns all across Eastern Canada to the swelling city of Toronto, Kevin Howley, David Puzak, Jeff Carter and Scarlett Flynn together unite a rallied sound that cleverly weaves knowing and tuneful lyrics into simple catchy pop songs. The band has been compared to the harmonious familiarity of Fleetwood Mac, Of Monsters and Men, Hey Ocean, Coldplay, and Grizzly Bears..

In the dawn of 2013, after a stretch of 7 years, Running Red Lights felt the impulse and readiness to finally undertake the challenge of an album. Returning to the assembly ground floor the band spent much of 2013 writing, recording and self-producing the debut full length album ‘There’s a Bluebird in My Heart’. The album released in January 14, 2014 to a sweep of praise from music journalists and bloggers from all over the world. The album was added and featured on CBC Radio and the leading single ‘Mulberry Love’ was named #1 Song of 2014 via NY Blog ‘Given and Taken in Ink’ and #1 Album of the Year via ROKLINE Magazine. The success of the album earned RRL an appearance on the nationally televised Canada AM and the single ‘Mulberry Love’ has been the source of several applauded reviews with one reviewer declaring Mulberry Love as‘the kind of song that makes other songs not matter’.

The band spent 2014 on the road in support of the album with respective tours throughout Ontario, the Pacific Northwest, The East Coast and concluded 2014 with ‘The Origins of Evelyn Tour’ throughout Ireland and Scotland. ‘Born into a space between the notes of Fleetwood Mac and the words of Sylvia Plath.’ Running Red Lights will celebrate 9 years in 2015 with the headlining ‘Adrift in Westland Row Tour’ throughout Ireland and the UK.
