Strange Loop traces a songwriter’s path from darkness to light. Each poem, essay, and lyric pulses with raw melody and meaning. This is the sound of a life lived – and written – out loud. Siân Brown’s words became a way through. Shaped by the echoes of growing up as a child of an alcoholic and the journey beyond depression. As a neurodivergent child told by the education system that she wasn’t good enough, songwriting became her way of saying: I am. Through writing, she made sense of a world that often didn’t – and found herself in the process.
