2023-07-21 2023-07-24– Cork Ska & Reggae festival partnered with Risings Sons Brewery is back !!! We are back to bring you the best Reggae and Ska to fill your boots and get you dancing. Spread across two venues Crane Lane Theatre & Pavilion Carey’s Lane.
Filling the gap in the cities festival market which has been long overdue for a good foot stomping and jamming summer vibe party. Crane Lane Theatre , Phoenix St and Poor Relation, Parnell Place are the first two venues to host with the plan to add more in the coming years. Crane Lane Theatre will have live music and DJ’s throughout the weekend with late closing each night until 2.30am Friday & Saturday and 2am Sunday. Featured acts include, Zion Train, The Beat Ft Ranking Jnr, Cian Finn,The Service, Pontious Pilate & The Naildrivers, Skazz ,Gwada Mike & S.Rise Yes ‘I’ & more. This year the focus will be on the best national & International bands and DJ’s on offer and a section dedicated to the up and coming in the Ska and Reggae scene , a generation of young musicians and bands in neighbouring countries and further afield. Cork Ska & Reggae festival is reviving a scene that has never grown old and some of the bands are still going strong, live and gigging in 2022 as they did in the Cork Arcadia ballroom back in the late 70’s/80’s such as The Specials, The Beat and many more. Future plans bring exciting times for the Ska and Reggae community. This festival has one united goal to fulfil , Spreading a “One Love” vibe and uniting people though the power of music and dance.
