To their impassioned cult of fans, New Model Army are one of the important post-punk outfits Great Britain ever produced. Combining the gut-level force of punk with an anthemic political fervor and urban protest folk sound, NMA sounded like few other bands mining similar post-punk territory. Their attack was hard, spare, and precise. Throughout their career, they remained staunch advocates of the British working class, occasionally tempering their leftist, anti-Thatcher political fury with moments of personal introspection. New Model Army introduced their fiery, politically motivated music in 1984, and continued touring and releasing albums well into the 2000s. New Model Army release their new studio album “Between Dog And Wolf” in 2013, via earMusic / Eagle Rock Entertainment. The current line-up is Justin Sullivan, Michael Dean on drums, Dean White on keyboards, Marshall Gill on guitar and 26-year-old new bass player, Ceri Monger, whose presence has added to the band’s creative and live resurgence. The new self-produced album was finished earlier this year and was mixed by Joe Barresi, best known for his work with Tool, Queens Of The Stone Age, Bad Religion and Soundgarden.
