Scustin are purveyors of “Post – Funk”. Which they create by blending humorous storytelling with a jazzy funk take on indie rock. Their sound was created by imagining what would happen if Blindboy, Mike Skinner, Jamiroquai and Viagra Boys went for a boozy night out in Bray and wrote an album about it.

2022 saw the band embark on their first UK & Irish tour, score festival slots at Electric Picnic and All Together Now, sell out shows in Limerick, Cork and Galway, establish themselves as new favourites at The Windmill in Brixton and release a string of singles and music videos. The year culminated with a sold out Dublin show and the release of their Christmas Special live performance video.

2023 has already been a whirlwind for the band. They played two sold out nights at The Academy supporting The Scratch, had a sold out show at The Windmill Brixton on St. Patrick’s day, completed a 16 date UK & Irish tour which was backed by Culture Ireland and have played packed out gigs at Body & Soul, Latitude, Electric Picnic, and Other Voices Cardigan (Wales).

The band has just finished recording their debut album with Richie Kennedy (The Murder Capital, EOB, Interpol) at Black Mountain Studios in Dundalk. The remainder of the year will see them play Other Voices in Dingle, a sold out show in Whelan’s upstairs (Dublin), a London show at The Old Blue Last and a special Dublin Christmas show on December 15th. Finally the band will release their fourth single “Sometimes I Feel” on November 3rd with plans already in motion for a European tour in 2024 and the album being planned for release at the back end of 2024.
